About eXchange

What?

Howdy!

I am Claudia and I will go in exchange. Its easy, the more I find out about this program , the more I know that I will take this opportunity for sure )
Some of you just say NO to Exchange because they cannot visualize it. See this:

YOU going in a foreign country to have an internship in a company, develop professional and personal.

Develop
You have the opportunity of living in another country, of having a home there for a period from 2 to 18 months, to meet new people and experience the traditions of that culture.
At your arrival and during your staying there, you will be taken care of by the local AIESEC Committee. This is very important as it will speed up your adaptation.
You will have access to a large network of people and all your activities there will bring you the benefit of enlarging and better knowing that network.

Work
You work experience will be relevant, as the internships are just like any other jobs, only that they are in foreign countries. And more, the experience you gain by working abroad will definitely help you with your future jobs.

The Exchange program offers you 4 different types of work opportunities, depending on your field of study and previous experience:

  • Management Internship provides the opportunity to work in areas related to management, such as finance, accounting, marketing, project management, organizational management or human resources.
  • Development Internship provides the opportunity to work in areas related to community development issues, such as children’s rights, environmental issues, education, rural development and entrepreneurship.
  • Technical Internship provides the opportunity to work in areas related to information technology or engineering projects. Technical skills, experience and expertise are required to participate in this type of internship.
  • Education Internship provides the opportunity to work in areas related to education, such as teaching a language, teaching a subject, curriculum development, character development, career counseling, cultural interaction and perspective promotion in academic fields or sectors. You must have academic and working backgrounds in the field of education.

AIESEC guarantees you support from the moment you apply to the moment you return from your internship. Besides the actual support, the social network provided by the local AIESEC members at the destination has proven incredibly valuable to the about 4.000 AIESEC trainees, who go through the program every year.
You will receive a salary for each internship, except for the Development Internship.

Travel
AIESEC has national committees in over 100 countries and local committees in over cities around the world. By choosing an internship in any of these cities, not only you will travel in that specific location, but also in the surroundings.
Your travel experience will enrich by you actually living there for more than 2 months, nut just visiting. You will experience every side of the places you choose, get in touch with the local customs and visit or even revisit the attractions there.

Conditions
You need to…

  • be under 35 years old
  • pay a fee between 130 € and 200€
  • be fluent in English
  • be open minded, flexible and internationally orientated!

Change agent
At the completion of this program you will have enriched your life and gathered professional and personal information that you can pass on to others. Your enlarged view of the world will make your contribution more valuable.
You can learn good case practices and apply them in your life and in your community; you can learn about improved and more efficient ways of working and then apply them at your next job… and many other possibilities.

Becide work you get a lot of fun, parties every days , new people, travel trough the country and becide that you have a salary:)
Guys, if you want to do something with your lives don’t miss the traineeship!!

oki. think of AIESEC like this: it’s a bridge to a better you. AIESEC will never cross the bridge for you. “it’s up to you” means your faith is in your hands. you can take this chance or the next one that comes along. I have been an AIESEC member for 1 and a half years and I admit that I have gained a lot even with out the X-change program. AIESEC does not get you “there”. It’s a mean not a purpose. You can get “there” by other ways or by this way. AIESEC provides the platform but it’s really up to you to get “there”.

Best regards to all my friends in “ye old @TM”

Hei ! I’m Geoffroy; I’m 21 years old and come from France.I’ve been a Ceeder in Timisoara for 2 months.

I’m really pleased with the experience I had : I’ve gained a lot of AIESEC knowledge and discovered a new approach to work ; that will help both my LC and me :)
Then, the country really worth being seen and its also great to meet new people who are- sometimes- very different from you…open-minding !!

So if you want to live a nice story, both on a personal and a cultural point of view…become a Ceeder :)
